William II Rufus of was born in 1060 in France.  William II Rufus of's father was William I the Conqueror of England and his mother was Mathilda of Flanders.  His paternal grandparents were Robert II The Magnificent Devil of Normandy and Herleva de Falaise; his maternal grandparents were Baldwin V the Pious de Lille of Flanders and Adela (Alix) Capet of France. He had three brothers and six sisters, named Richard of, Robert III Curthose of, Henry I Beauclerc of, Adeliza of, Cecilia of Holy, Adela, Agatha of, Constance of and Matilda of. He had two half-brothers and a half-sister, named Gherbod the, Richard and Gundrada de.  He died at the age of 40 on August 2nd, 1100 in New Forest, England.  He was buried in Winchester Cathedral, England.
