James II Stuart of was born on October 14th, 1633 in St. Jame's Palace, London, England.  James II Stuart of's father was Charles I Stuart of England and his mother was Henrietta Maria Capet de Bourbon.  His paternal grandparents were James I Stuart (VI of Scotland) of England and Anne Oldenburg; his maternal grandparents were Henry IV de Bourbon of France and Marie de Medici. He had three brothers and five sisters, named Charles James, Charles II Stuart of, Henry, Mary Henrietta, Elizabeth, Catherine, Henrietta Anne Stuart and Anne.  He died at the age of 67 on September 16th, 1701 in St. Germain-en-Laye near Paris, France.  He was buried in Church of the English Benedictines, Paris, France.
