Charles I Stuart of was born on November 19th, 1600 in Dunfermline Palace, Fife, Scotland.  Charles I Stuart of's father was James I Stuart (VI of Scotland) of England and his mother was Anne Oldenburg.  His paternal grandparents were Henry Stuart and Mary Stuart of Scotland; his maternal grandfather was Frederick II Oldenburg of Denmark & Norway and his maternal grandmother is Sophia of Mecklenburg-Gustrow. He had a sister named Elizabeth.  He was the younger of the two children.  He died in Whitehall Palace, London, England.  He was buried in St. George's Chapel, Windsor Castle, England.

‌Charles I Stuart of and Henrietta Maria Capet were married in a religious ceremony on June 13th, 1625 in St. Augustine's Church, Canterbury, England.  They had four sons and five daughters, named Charles James, Charles II Stuart of, James II Stuart of, Henry, Mary Henrietta, Elizabeth, Catherine, Henrietta Anne Stuart and Anne.
