Peter Ankney 
Peter was born on April 6th, 1751 in Hagerstown, Washington County, Maryland. Peter's father was Dewalt Johan Ankney and his mother was Mary Jane Dorner. His paternal grandparents were Johan Heinrich Agne and Christine Cantor; his maternal grandfather is Thomas Dorner. He had a brother and three sisters, named Christian, Catherine, Rebecca and Anna Maria. He was the second oldest of the five children. He died at the age of 52 on January 22nd, 1804 in Somerset County, Pennsylvania. He was buried in Ankeny Square, Somerset County, Pennsylvania.General Notes
Family historians disagree as to whether his mother was Catherine or Mary
Jane Domer. Birth has also been listed as March 6, 1751 or March 1, 1752.
His death has also been alisted as Dec. 23, 1804.
