Christian Ankney 
Christian was born on December 25th, 1749 in Hanover Township, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania or Hagerstown, Hanover Township, Washington County, Maryland. Christian's father was Dewalt Johan Ankney and his mother was Mary Jane Dorner. His paternal grandparents were Johan Heinrich Agne and Christine Cantor; his maternal grandfather is Thomas Dorner. He had a brother and three sisters, named Peter, Catherine, Rebecca and Anna Maria. He was the oldest of the five children. He died at the age of 74 on March 17th, 1824 in Ligonier Township, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania. He was buried in Brant's Cemetery, Ligonier Township, Westmoreland County, PA.General Notes
