Jacob Ankney 
Jacob was born on February 21st, 1792 in Hagerstown, Washington County, Maryland. Jacob's father was Christian Ankney and his mother was Elizabeth Shaffer. His paternal grandparents were Dewalt Johan Ankney and Mary Jane Dorner; his maternal grandparents were George Schaffer and Elisabetha Catherine Miller. He had four brothers and four sisters, named George, David, Henry, Christian Jr., Elizabeth, Rosanna, Anna Marie and Margaret. He was the youngest of the nine children. He died at the age of 80 on January 21st, 1873. He was buried in Durchein Farm, Somerset County, Pennsylvania.-
