Louis VIII "The Lion" was born on September 3rd, 1187 in Paris, France.  Louis VIII "The Lion"'s father was Phillip II (Phillip Agustus) King Of France and his mother was Isabella D' Hainaut.  His paternal grandparents were Louis VII King of France and Constanza Alfonsez Princese of Castile; his maternal grandparents were Baldwin V Count Of Hainaut and Marguerite I Heiress Of Flanders.  He was an only child.  He died at the age of 39 on November 8th, 1226 in Chateau de Montpensier, Auvergne.
