Foulques V was born in 1092 in Anjou, France.  Foulques V's father was Foulques IV Count of Anjou and his mother was Bertrada of Anjou.  His paternal grandparents were Geoffroy II Count of Gastinois and Ermengarde Countess of Anjou; his maternal grandfather was Simon I Of MONTFORT and his maternal grandmother is Agnaes D' Evereax. He had a brother and a sister, named Geoffrey and Ermengardis.  He was the youngest of the three children.  He died at the age of 51 on November 10th, 1143 in Jerusalem, Israel.  He was buried in Church of the Holy Sepulchar, Jerusalem.
