Gertrude Princess Of Saxony

Gertrude was born in 1028 in Schweinfurt, Bavaria. Gertrude's father was Bernard II Duke of Saxony and her mother was Eilika Margravine Of Schweinfurt. Her paternal grandparents were Bernard I (Benno) Duke of Saxony and Hildegarde Countess of Stade; her maternal grandfather was Heinrich of the Nordgau and Schweinfurth and her maternal grandmother is Gerberga Countess of Swabia. She had two brothers and a sister, named Ordulph (Otto), Hermann and Ida Billung. She was the second oldest of the four children. She died at the age of 85 on August 4th, 1113.
