Samuel Kendall Gifford 
Samuel Kendall was born on November 11th, 1821 in Milo, Yates Co., New York. Samuel Kendall's father was Alpheus Gifford and his mother was Anna Nash. His paternal grandparents were Noah Gifford and Mary Bowerman; his maternal grandparents were Azor Nash and Lucy Shaw. He had six brothers and three sisters, named Icabod Bowerman, William Pitts, Henry Dill, Moses, Enos Curtis, Herber Chase Kimball, Mary Elizabeth, Rhoda and Rachel. He was the third oldest of the ten children. He died at the age of 85 on June 26th, 1907 in Springdale, Washington Co., Utah.-
