Samuel Gifford 
Samuel was born on October 16th, 1879 in Springdale, Washington Co., Utah. Samuel's father was Alpheus Gifford and his mother is Sarah Elizabeth Hanson. His paternal grandfather was Samuel Kendall Gifford and his paternal grandmother is Lora Ann Demille. He had five brothers and six sisters, and also a sibling of unknown gender, named Riley Kendall, Oliver, Orson, Nathan Alpheus, Cyrus, Bertha, Ingri, Hannah Jane, Harriet, Irene, Elsie and Unknown. He is the fourth oldest of the thirteen children. He had a half-brother and five half-sisters, named Henry, Alpha, Mahala, Lovina, Ruth and Sarilla.-
