Samuel Gatten 
Samuel was born on June 2nd, 1833 in Sandusky, Ohio/Sandusky Co., OH. Samuel's father was Galentine Gatten and his mother is Sarah A. Hendrickson. His paternal grandparents were William Benjamin Gatten and Sarah Murphy. He had three brothers and three sisters, named William, Isaac, James, Margaret, Lavina and Sarah Ann. He was the second oldest of the seven children. He died at the age of 102 on July 28th, 1935.-
