Robert was born about 1123. Robert's father was Louis VI King of France and his mother was Adelaide of Savoy. His paternal grandparents were Phillipe I King of France and Bertha Countess Of Holland; his maternal grandparents were Humbert II Count De Savoie and Gisela De Bourgogne. He had six brothers and a sister, named Phillipe, Henri, Louis VII, Hugues, Pierre, Phillipe Arch-Dean and Constance. He was the fourth youngest of the eight children. He died on October 11th, 1188 in Braine, France.-
