Robert was born about 1123.  Robert's father was Louis VI King of France and his mother was Adelaide of Savoy.  His paternal grandparents were Phillipe I King of France and Bertha Countess Of Holland; his maternal grandparents were Humbert II Count De Savoie and Gisela De Bourgogne. He had six brothers and a sister, named Phillipe, Henri, Louis VII, Hugues, Pierre, Phillipe Arch-Dean and Constance.  He was the fourth youngest of the eight children.  He died on October 11th, 1188 in Braine, France.

‌Robert and Hawise of were married in a religious ceremony in 1144.  They had a daughter named Adele.


Robert's second family with Agnes De Baudement

‌Robert and Agnes were married in a religious ceremony in 1152.  They had six sons and four daughters, named Robert, Henri, Philippe, Pierre, Guillaume, Jean, Adelaide, Isabelle, Mamilie and Marguerite.


Robert's third family with Agnes De Garlande

‌Robert and Agnes were married in a religious ceremony.  They had a son named Simon.
