Barbara Akers

Barbara was born on November 9th, 1815. Barbara's father was Josiah Akers and her mother was Sarah "Sally" Garrett. Her paternal grandparents were Augustine (Austin) Akers and Rhoda Thompson. She had three brothers and six sisters, named Austin, William George, James, Lucinda, Kittie Ann, Mary, Sarah, Rebecca and America. She was the oldest of the ten children. She died at the age of 53 on August 24th, 1869.
