America Akers 
America was born on October 25th, 1834. America's father was Josiah Akers and her mother was Sarah "Sally" Garrett. Her paternal grandparents were Augustine (Austin) Akers and Rhoda Thompson. She had three brothers and six sisters, named Austin, William George, James, Barbara, Lucinda, Kittie Ann, Mary, Sarah and Rebecca. She was the youngest of the ten children. She died at the age of 81 on November 3rd, 1915.-
