Thomas Bealmear 
Thomas was born in 1810 in Maryland. Thomas' father was Francis Bealmear and his mother was Elizabeth Anderson. His paternal grandparents were Francis Bealmear and Elizabeth Brewer; his maternal grandparents were Absolom Anderson and Ann Wheeler. He had three brothers and two sisters, named Samuel, James, Absolom, Eliza and Ann Duckett. He died at the age of 50 on July 12th, 1860 in Falls Twp,Muskingum County,Ohio. Thomas Bealmear was born on Duvalls Range near Conaways, Md, in 1810 He attended St. Mary's College in Baltimore from 1825 to 1827 and graduated from Washington Medical College in 1830, serving his appresticeship under Dr. Gustavus Warfield. He married Rachel Eliza Thomas of Baltimore in 1830 and went to Irville, Ohio, where he began the practice of medicine. Rachel Eliza died Feb 14, 1831 leaving an infant daughter and on May 24, 1832 he married Susan Rebecca Shipley, daughter of Johnzie and Ann Wilson Swann Shipley of Baltimore, MD. Thirdly, he married Elizabeth Barton, daughter of Joseph E. Barton of the New Jersey Colonial Infantry. Dr. Bealmear died July 12, 1860.

The Dr. Thomas Bealmeaar home was built in 1846 at Irville, Ohio, a small town very close to Zanesville and close to the home of George Bealmear (grandson). This home is now known as the "Old Sherman Place" and is also known a a "haunted house." This is due to a peculiarity of the door which opens when one steps on the old, worn, front step. Emmett Shute visited this old stone house in the 1930's. (E. S. is a grgrandson of Dr. T. B.)

To Thomas Bealmere son of Francis, the dwelling-house and lot on NE corner of saratoga and Eutaw in Baltimore Town, but he to pay "my mephew Thomas Warfield" $500 annual rent of $100 for his education; also library of medical books. (Thomas became a very successful medical doctor in Ohio.)
