Julia Barton was born on January 3rd, 1860 in Muskingum County,Ohio. Julia Barton's father was Thomas Bealmear and her mother was Elizabeth S. Barton. Her paternal grandparents were Francis Bealmear and Elizabeth Anderson; her maternal grandparents were Joseph Laurence Barton and Elizabeth C. Pierce. She had a brother and a sister, named James Barton and Eliza Barton. She was the youngest of the three children. She had three half-brothers and four half-sisters, named William Augustus, Henry Miller, Harry, child, Helen Virginia (Jennie), Susan Ann and Fanny Elizabeth.-
