Cyrus Hyde was born on August 14th, 1834. Cyrus Hyde's father was Charles McClung and his mother was Nancy Black McClung. His paternal grandparents were Joseph McClung and Elizabeth Hyde; his maternal grandparents were Alexander McClung and Jane McClung. He had three brothers and four sisters, named Samuel Kyle, Alpheus Paris, William Frank, Rebecca, Mary Elizabeth, Lucy and Ellen. He was the second oldest of the eight children.-
