Alexander Black

Alexander was born on November 20th, 1800. Alexander's father was Alexander Black and his mother was Jane Crockett. His paternal grandparents were William Black and Sarah Hicklin; his maternal grandparents were James Crockett and Martha Gay. He had five brothers and two sisters, named William, James, John, Samuel C, Harrison M, Martha and Sarah. He was the fourth oldest of the eight children.
