Matilda Zike 
Matilda was born in 1823 in Jessamine County, Kentucky. Matilda's father was John Zike and her mother was Susannah Smith. Her paternal grandparents were Jacob "Zeuch" Zike and Katherine Lucinda Avey. She had seven brothers and two sisters, named Jacob, David, James, Henry, John, William, Isaac, Mary Ann and Hester Ann. She was the fifth oldest of the ten children. She died at the age of 45 in 1868 in Lawrence Co./Monroe Co., Indiana (on county line). She was buried in Zike Cemetery.-
