Hester Ann Zike 
Hester Ann was born in 1826 in Jessamine County, Kentucky. Hester Ann's father was John Zike and her mother was Susannah Smith. Her paternal grandparents were Jacob "Zeuch" Zike and Katherine Lucinda Avey. She had seven brothers and two sisters, named Jacob, David, James, Henry, John, William, Isaac, Mary Ann and Matilda. She was the fifth youngest of the ten children.-
