Ora L. Shields 
Ora L. was born on October 31st, 1890 in Monroe County, Indiana. Ora L.'s father was William Taylor Shields and his mother was Amanda Ellen Deckard. His paternal grandparents were William Henry Harrison Shields and Mary Ellen Hudlin; his maternal grandparents were Andrew Deckard and Mary Ann Chambers. He had three brothers and five sisters, named Daniel, William Andrew, Charles, Ida Florence, Cora Alma, Grace M., Ann P. and Ruby. He was the third youngest of the nine children. He died at the age of 89 in May 1980 in Moorpark, Ventura Co., California.-
