Daniel Shields 
Daniel was born on November 16th, 1871. Daniel's father was William Taylor Shields and his mother was Amanda Ellen Deckard. His paternal grandparents were William Henry Harrison Shields and Mary Ellen Hudlin; his maternal grandparents were Andrew Deckard and Mary Ann Chambers. He had three brothers and five sisters, named William Andrew, Charles, Ora L., Ida Florence, Cora Alma, Grace M., Ann P. and Ruby. He was the second oldest of the nine children. He died at the age of 51 on December 18th, 1922 in Monroe County, Indiana. He was buried in Knight Ridge Cemetery, Salt Creek Twp., Monroe Co., Indiana.General Notes
