Joann Shields 
Joann was born in 1835 in Kentucky. Joann's father was Joseph Shields and her mother was Sarah "Sally" Masterson. Her paternal grandparents were David Shields and UNKNOWN Unknown; her maternal grandparents were Caleb Masterson and Jenny Champ. She had five brothers and two sisters, named William Henry Harrison, David W., James Madison, Joseph Lindsey, Thomas, Sarah and Nancy L.. She was the second youngest of the eight children. She died at the age of 77 on April 28th, 1912 in Monroe County, Indiana. She was buried on April 30th, 1912 in Richardson/Dickerson Cemetery, Benton Twp., Monroe Co., Indiana.General Notes
