Otto S. Deckard 
Otto S. was born on March 15th, 1899 in Allens Creek, Polk Twp., Monroe Co., Indiana. Otto S.'s father was King Anthony Mone Deckard and his mother was Mary Mol Jane Eads. His paternal grandparents were John Stewart and Elizabeth Deckard; his maternal grandparents were Elijah Eads and Laura Alice Sexton. He had five brothers and three sisters, named Herbert, Marshal, Ora, Dillon, Curtis Cecil, Golda Verge, Cordillia and Gertrude Alice. He had three half-brothers and four half-sisters, named Marion, Eli, Robert, Melvina, Mary Ellen, Jane and Sissie Mollie. He died at the age of 87 on September 14th, 1986 in Bloomington, Monroe Co., Indiana. He was buried in Mt. Ebal Cemetery, Monroe Co., Indiana.General Notes
September 14, 1986 Deaths (there are errors in this obit. Otto was
the son of King Anthony Deckard not Cain A. Deckard. His mother was Mary
Jane Eads/Stillions. Her father was Elijah Eads and her mother was Ellen
Stillions. As the obit. lists Otto as Sr. and none of the sons named
are Otto Jr. I have listed the unnamed son as Otto Jr. that died sometime

Otto Deckard Sr., 87, of 8346 S. Fairfax Road, died Sunday at his
residence.
Born March 15, 1899, in Monroe County, he was the son of Cain A. and
Mary Jane (Stillions) Deckard.
Survivors include four sons, Vernon Deckard, Richard Deckard, and
Leroy Deckard, all of Bloomington, and Glen Deckard of Bedford; two
daughters, Leonoa Eads and Juanita Bray, both of Bloomington; and several
grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Flossie (Deckard) Deckard and
one son.
Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Jones Funeral Home in
Heltonville. Burial will be in Mt. Ebal Cemetery.
Friends may call 2 - 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
