Napoleon Budd was born in June 1862 in Chapel Hill, Monroe Co., Indiana. Napoleon Budd's father was John Wesley Deckard and his mother was Malissa Eads. His paternal grandparents were ? Deckard and Catherine Hillenburg; his maternal grandparents were William Eads and Nancy Miller. He had four brothers and two sisters, named George Washington, King Perry, Benjamin, Richard, Sara Artemesia and Catherine Katy. He was the second oldest of the seven children. He died at the age of 69 on June 19th, 1931 in Lawrence Co., Indiana. He was buried in Chapel Hill Cemetery, Monroe Co., Indiana.General Notes
