Eva Jane Deckard 
Eva Jane was born on August 22nd, 1902 in Polk Twp, Monroe Co., Indiana. Eva Jane's father was George Washington Deckard and her mother was Martha Mize. Her paternal grandparents were John Wesley Deckard and Malissa Eads. She had six brothers and three sisters, named Clarence Jackie, Lawrence Brigham, Floyd Washington Jake, Leonard Buck, General Sanford, Hobert "Hobie", Ollie, Sarah and Rosetta. She was the third youngest of the ten children. She died at the age of 71 on August 11th, 1974 in Bloomington Hospital, Bloomington, Monroe Co., Indiana. She was buried in Mt. Ebal Cemetery, Monroe Co., Indiana.General Notes
Evie Jane Hollars, 72, R. 4, died at 10:45 a.m. Saturday at the
Bloomington Hospital.
A native of Lawrence County, she was born Aug. 27, 1901, the
daughter of George and Martha (Mize) Deckard and was a member of the
Pentecostal faith.
She is survived by three daughters, Martha Eads, R. 4, Netha Utt, R.
14, Mrs. Mary Hawkins, R. 4, two sons, Pete Hollers, Bloomington and
Walter Hollers, Heltonville; five brothers, Hobart, Sanford, Lawrence and
Floyd, all of Bloomington, and clarence of Bedford; 19 grandchildren and
16 great-grandchildren. She was preceded indeath by her husband, John
William Hollers; three sons and one brother.
Funeral arrangements are pending at the Jones Funeral Home in
Heltonville.
