Zetta Catherine was born on June 28th, 1928 in Monroe County, Indiana. Zetta Catherine's father was Joseph H. Butcher and her mother was Lora L. Shields. Her paternal grandparents were Matthew Butcher and Elizabeth J. Grubb; her maternal grandparents were David Shields and Lucy Amanda Vint. She had five brothers and four sisters, named Estel Joseph, Harold Herman, Elmer Dillon, Delmar Duard, Melvin Ira, Vesta Hazel, Oneta, Maude Ellen and Zella Loretta. She was the youngest of the ten children.-
