Delmar Duard was born on June 11th, 1923 in Monroe County, Indiana. Delmar Duard's father was Joseph H. Butcher and his mother was Lora L. Shields. His paternal grandparents were Matthew Butcher and Elizabeth J. Grubb; his maternal grandparents were David Shields and Lucy Amanda Vint. He had four brothers and five sisters, named Estel Joseph, Harold Herman, Elmer Dillon, Melvin Ira, Vesta Hazel, Oneta, Maude Ellen, Zella Loretta and Zetta Catherine. He was the fourth youngest of the ten children. He died at the age of 38 on November 19th, 1961 in Monroe Co., Indiana. He was buried in Mt. Ebal Cemetery, Clear Creek Twp., Monroe Co., Indiana.-
