Julius came to the U.S. on April 29, 1889 at the age of 8 with his mother Gertrude and 2 brothers Anton and Andrew. He traveled on the ship Lahn from Bremen & Southampton to New York. He became an electrician while living in Indiana. Julius married Anna Marie Seegers on November 23, 1904 at Sacred Heart Church. The officiating priest at his marriage was Columban Valentin, OFM. The witnesses were Anton Angrick and Louise Seegers. Julius and Anna had 5 children. Alice Louise, Edward Julius, Wilfred Henry, Mary Ann Agnes, and Maurice Vincent. He was a member of the Knights of St. George. Julius died at the age of 40 on September 25, 1920 from acute superactive arthritis of the left hip joint. He lived at 534 Jones St at the time of his death. Lauck Funeral Home provided the funeral services. Julius was buried in his Knights of St. George uniform with his sword by his side at St. Joseph's Cemetery.
