John H. Hicks 
John H. was born on January 6th, 1888 in Nicholas Co,WV. John H.'s father was Joseph Steven Hicks and his mother was Mildred Fitzwater. His paternal grandparents were George Washington Hicks and Delilah Burdett. He had four brothers and eight sisters, named George Joseph, James Wilmoth, Arthur, Cody, Lenoa Caroline, Elizabeth Jane, Ella, Mary D., Fannie L., Burlie, Letha and Margaret Mae. He was the seventh oldest of the thirteen children. He died at the age of 84 on April 23rd, 1972 in Raleigh Co,WV.-
