George Washington was born in 1825 in Greenbrier Co,Virginia. George Washington's father was Joseph Stephen Hicks and his mother was Margaret Boggs. His paternal grandparents were William Hix and Hannah Garrad\Jarrett; his maternal grandparents were John Boggs and Susanna Drennen. He had six brothers and three sisters, named Joseph, William, Stephenson B (?), Lawrence, James, Samuel, Nancy Joanna, Elizabeth Jane and Margaret. He was the fifth oldest of the ten children. He died at the age of 72 on August 5th, 1897 in Calhoun Co,WV.-
