Walter Wirt was born on August 13th, 1879 in Lee County, Texas.1 Walter Wirt's father was James Alexander Sibley and his mother was Willena Ara Pharr. His paternal grandparents were Elijah M Sibley and Eliza K Ingram. He had four brothers and eight sisters, named Henry Clay, Frank Johnson, Emerson Scarborough, James A, Minnie Ida, Mary Addie, Araminta Myrtle, Lillie Belle, Minta, Ida, Lillie and Addie. He had three half-brothers and five half-sisters, named George William, Robert Lee, Thomas Henry, Ella, Fannie, Emma, Sallie Davis and Katherine.
