Eliza Eleanor was born on February 5th, 1851 in Jefferson/Belmont County, Ohio.1 Eliza Eleanor's father was James William Nicholas Coffland and her mother was Sarah Ann Varner. Her paternal grandparents were Lancelot Coffland and Eliza Beckett; her maternal grandparents were John "Johnny" Varner Jr and Irena Emma Andrews. She had three brothers and two sisters, named Charles Wesley, Francis Allen, John H., Susan I and Mary Emma. She was the oldest of the six children. She died at the age of 83 in 1934 in Bethesda, Belmont County, Ohio. She was buried in Beside second husband in Gerlaw Cerne, Warren County, Illinois.1 1 -
