Susan I Coffland 
Susan I was born in 1853 in Belmont County, Ohio.1 Susan I's father was James William Nicholas Coffland and her mother was Sarah Ann Varner. Her paternal grandparents were Lancelot Coffland and Eliza Beckett; her maternal grandparents were John "Johnny" Varner Jr and Irena Emma Andrews. She had three brothers and two sisters, named Charles Wesley, Francis Allen, John H., Eliza Eleanor and Mary Emma. She was the second oldest of the six children.-
