George Vincent Steer

George was born in 1866 in Kingsbridge, Devon.¹

George's father was George Steer and his mother was Mary Smith. His paternal grandparents were Henry Steer and Sarah Lowry. He had four brothers and two sisters, named Charles, Francis, Thomas, Sydney, Agnes and Edith. He was the oldest of the seven children. He had three half-brothers named John, George and James.
