Florence was born about 1880 in Ecclesfield Yorkshire.1   Florence's father was Steer and her mother was Margaret STEER. She had seven brothers and two sisters, named William H, James Ed, Fred, Francis, Ernest, Megniald, Edgar, Lydia and Kate.  She was the third youngest of the ten children.
