Robert was born on December 2nd, 1822 and his baptism took place on December 10th, 1822 in Weld Chapel Southgate London.1  Robert's father was John Henry Powell Schneider and his mother was Elizabeth Moul.  His paternal grandparents were John Henry Schneider and Anna Catharina Congreve. He had two brothers and a sister, named Henry, George and Elizabeth.  He was the youngest of the four children. He had two half-brothers and three half-sisters, named George, George, Anna, Charlotte and Harriet.
