George was born on August 13th, 1821 and his baptism took place on September 27th, 1821 in Weld Chapel Southgate London.1  George's father was John Henry Powell Schneider and his mother was Elizabeth Moul.  His paternal grandparents were John Henry Schneider and Anna Catharina Congreve. He had two brothers and a sister, named Henry, Robert and Elizabeth.  He was the second youngest of the four children. He had two half-brothers and three half-sisters, named George, George, Anna, Charlotte and Harriet.
