Marjorie was born on October 21st, 1912 and her baptism took place on February 15th, 1913 in Croydon Parish Church. Marjorie's father was John Henry Steer and her mother was Edith Annie Letts.  Her paternal grandparents were John Thomas Steer and Katharine or Catherine Ellen Smith; her maternal grandparents were Walter Letts and Rebecca Shambrook. She had a brother and a sister, named Edward and Winifred.  She was the second oldest of the three children.  She died at the age of 89 on April 19th, 2002 in Berkshire Nursing Home, Wokingham.  The funeral took place on June 7th, 2002 in St Lukes Church Burton.  She was cremated on April 26th, 2002 in Easthampstead Crematorium.
