Daniel was born in 1796 in Hertfordshire and his baptism took place on July 17th, 1796 in Hertingfordbury.1 2  Daniel's father was James Shambrook and his mother was Elizabeth Bent. He had a brother and a sister, named Richard and Rebeca.  He was the youngest of the three children.  He died at the age of 71 on January 13th, 1867 in Crown Lane Southgate.3
