Joseph Henry was born on July 10th, 1856 in Sydney. Joseph Henry's father was Joseph CURTHOYS and his mother was Eliza LANCASTER.  His paternal grandfather is James CURTHOYS and his paternal grandmother was Elizabeth CURTHOYS; his maternal grandparents are Joseph LANCASTER and Ann Eliza COXHEAD. He had three brothers and five sisters, named Edwin William, Alfred George, unnamed twin, Lizzie Ellen, Matilda Emily, Ada Ellen, Alice Maude and Lizzie Edith.  He was the oldest of the nine children.  He died at just 4 days old on July 14th, 1856.
