Henry Ogier

Henry was born on April 15th, 1758 in The parish of St Sampson on the Isle of Guernsey, Channel Islands and his baptism took place on April 15th, 1758 in The parish church of St. Sampson.^1 2   His godfather was Jean Cohu and his godmother was Susan de Jersey (his wife).  Henry's father was Thomas Ogier and his mother was Marthe Cohu.  His paternal grandparents were Thomas des Landesm Ogier and Marquerite Nant; his maternal grandparents were Nicholas Cohu and Almpe Blondel. He had seven brothers and two sisters, named Thomas, Thomas , Jean, Nicolas, Pierre, Pierre, William, Judith and Marthe.  He was the fourth youngest of the ten children.
