Nicolas Ogier

Nicolas was born on February 14th, 1750 in The parish of St Sampson on the Isle of Guernsey, Channel Islands and his baptism took place on February 14th, 1750 in The parish church of St. Sampson.^1 2   His godfather was Nicholas Cohu and his godmother was Elizabeth Moullin (his wife) of the Catel.  Nicolas' father was Thomas Ogier and his mother was Marthe Cohu.  His paternal grandparents were Thomas des Landesm Ogier and Marquerite Nant; his maternal grandparents were Nicholas Cohu and Almpe Blondel. He had seven brothers and two sisters, named Thomas, Thomas , Jean, Pierre, Henry, Pierre, William, Judith and Marthe.  He was the fourth oldest of the ten children.
