Pierre Ogier

Pierre was born on April 11th, 1756 in The parish of St Sampson on the Isle of Guernsey, Channel Islands and his baptism took place on April 11th, 1756 in The parish church of St. Sampson.^1 2   His godfather was Jean Ogier and his godmother was Catherine Ogier (d/o Pierre Ogier snr).  Pierre's father was Thomas Ogier and his mother was Marthe Cohu.  His paternal grandparents were Thomas des Landesm Ogier and Marquerite Nant; his maternal grandparents were Nicholas Cohu and Almpe Blondel. He had seven brothers and two sisters, named Thomas, Thomas , Jean, Nicolas, Henry, Pierre, William, Judith and Marthe.  He was the fifth youngest of the ten children.  He died at the age of 4 in 1760.
