Living at 5 Cobden St., Birkenhead in 1891 and 33 Sidney St, Tranmere, Birkenhead, Cheshire, England  in 1901 with parents.

In 1911, George (32) was recorded as marrried to Emily.  They were living at Gilstead, Thingwall.

Minnie Hopkins, George's sister-in-law liked George and said he was a wonderful artist.

In 1921, George (b.Bingley, 1879), Emily Sophia (b.1878) and their son George (b.1919) were still living at Thingwall, Wirral.

In 1891, Emily S Hopkins was a servant girl, aged 14 for Ellis and Hannah Norris in St Ives, Huntingdonshire.

Emily S Stocks was widowed in 1938, aged 77, and living alone at Gilstead in Sparcks Lane, Higher Thingwall (see 1939 register).

Emily died at 56 Church Road, Birkenhead

He was in the RAF during the war, and then emigrated to South Africa after WW2 (Feb 1947), where he set up a business and married Joy out there.

George and Joy had no children.

26 Feb 1947, G F Stocks (aged 27) departed Southampton for Cape Town on the Carnarvon Castle.

About 1980, George and Joy left South Africa and went to live in Spain.

George was alive in 1989, traveling from Spain to visit his cousins in England
