James Henry Whittaker

James was born in September 1868 in Longsight.¹

James' father was James Whitaker and his mother was Annie Elizabeth Slack. His paternal grandparents were William Whitaker and Sarah Mather. He had five brothers and a sister, named Walter, Charles, Frank, John, Harold and Lucy. He was the oldest of the seven children. He had a half-brother and four half-sisters, named William, Annie, Harriet, Mary and Elizabeth.
