William Westby

William's father was Thomas Westby and his mother was Sarah Mather. His maternal grandparents were Joseph (Joshua) Mather and Mary Thorp. He had a brother and two sisters, named Thomas, Mary and Jane. He was the third oldest of the four children. He died at the age of 43 in March 1879 in Horton. His burial was on March 8th, 1879 in Horwich.²³
