Mary Westby

Mary was born in October 1832 in Little Bolton and her baptism took place on October 14th, 1832 at St. Peter's (Bolton).¹

Mary's father was Thomas Westby and her mother was Sarah Mather. Her maternal grandparents were Joseph (Joshua) Mather and Mary Thorp. She had two brothers and a sister, named William, Thomas and Jane. She was the oldest of the four children. She died at the age of 37 in July 1870 in Bolton. Her burial was on July 27th, 1870 in Tonge-with-Haulgh.²³
