John Vickers (Mather)

John was born in December 1852 in Turton and his baptism took place on January 2nd, 1853 at St. Peter's (Bolton).¹

John's father was Thomas Vickers and his mother was Mary Mather. His maternal grandparents were Holt Mather and Alice Vickers. He had two brothers and two sisters, named Ellis, Robert, Mary and Alice. He was the oldest of the five children.
